Zondag 18 maart 2012 vindt de eerste editie plaats van de Dag van de Zorg. Voortaan wordt de Dag van de Zorg elk jaar op de derde zondag van maart georganiseerd.

Maar liefst 170 zorg- en welzijnsorganisaties nemen deel aan de opendeurdag.

IMI - Open Info Day on its 5th Call for Proposals on 27 February 2012

IMI will hold an Open Info Day on its 5th Call for proposals at the Crowne Plaza - Le Palace Hotel in Brussels, Belgium on Monday 27 February 2012. The day will include an overview of IMI's funding and intellectual property (IP) rules, tips and testimonies from people involved in ongoing IMI projects, and a presentation of the 5th Call topic 'European lead factory: Joint European compound library and screening centre' by the Project Coordinator. In addition, there will be plenty of networking opportunities and IMI staff will be on hand to answer questions relating to the 5th Call and IMI's application procedures.

Voor de vijfde keer zal Radiorg.be deze internationale dag organiseren, en wel op 29 februari 2012.
De laatste hand zal er gelegd worden aan de aanbevelingen voor een Nationaal Plan voor Zeldzame Ziekten. Radiorg.be hoopt dat de minister van Volksgezondheid dit plan zal goedkeuren en implementeren.

The 20th cycle of PHARMED modules will start on October 24 2011. PHARMED is a training programme in drug development sciences/pharmaceutical medicine intended for MDs, PhDs, MSc, pharmacists. In 8 modules of 4 days each, PHARMED covers the entire process of drug development from drug discovery to marketing. These modules can be attended over 1 or 2 years. Postuniversitair programma - Gezondheidseconomie - Academiejaar 2011-2012

In Angelsaksische landen is gezondheidseconomie al geruime tijd bekend. In 2001 maakte België, als eerste land op het Europese continent, het indienen van een farmaco-economisch dossier verplicht bij de aanvraag tot terugbetaling van innovatieve geneesmiddelen. Zo'n dossier moet, naast de doeltreffendheid en de veiligheid, ook de 'economische meerwaarde' van het geneesmiddel aantonen. Het belang hiervan blijkt uit het groeiende aantal studies.
Inmiddels werd voor 'Health Technology Assessment' (HTA) het Federaal Kenniscentrum (KCE) opgericht. Hiermee beperkt de gezondheidseconomische analyse zich niet langer tot geneesmiddelen, maar geldt ze ook voor diagnosetechnieken, medische hulpmiddelen en de ziekenhuisomgeving.

pharma.be zal op 13 december 2011 in de namiddag (vanaf 13 u) een event organiseren rond een aantal actuele 'Volksgezondheid' topics, in nauwe samenwerking met het FAGG.

Er zal ook voldoende ruimte zijn voor persoonlijk overleg met collega's en medewerkers van het Agentschap.

Het definitieve programma is momenteel nog niet beschikbaar, maar we willen u de datum reeds meedelen zodat u uw agenda nu al kan blokkeren.

FlandersBio: Submit your abstracts for Knowledge for Growth 2012

The call for scientific abstracts for Knowledge for Growth 2011, taking place on 24 May 2012 in the ICC ghent, is now open. FlandersBio is looking for abstracts presenting science or technology in the broad area of medical and plant biotechnology or medical technology. They aim for a 50-50 mix of industry and academic presentations. Abstracts should focus on technology or research that is of interest to the biotech community at large and should clearly state the technology or scientific project, focusing on the concept and rationale behind it without in-depth experimental details. The deadline for submitting abstracts is 12/01/2012.
