Pharmaceutical Round Table at the Royal Palace on November 22nd, 2016

On Tuesday November 22nd, his Majesty King Philippe of Belgium welcomed a delegation of pharmaceutical companies for a Round Table at the Royal Palace. The meeting was organized on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of pharma.be, the umbrella association of the innovative pharmaceutical industry in Belgium.

Besides some large investors, the pharma.be delegation also included biotech SMEs and the academic society. The federal government was represented by Kris Peeters, Deputy prime minister and minister of Employment, Economy and Consumer Affairs.

Together, they discussed the strengths of Belgium in the field of pharmaceutical research, development and production, as well as some of the future therapeutic developments.
